The Sweet East

The Sweet East is a picaresque journey through the cities and woods of the Eastern seaboard of the United States undertaken by Lillian, a high school senior from South Carolina who gets her first glimpse of the wider world on a class trip to Washington, D.C. Separated from her schoolmates, she embarks on a fractured fairy tale travelogue into America, where she is granted access to a variety of the strange factions that proliferate the present-day unreality of contemporary life.

Sean Price Williams was born on August 1, 1977 in Wilmington, Delaware, USA. As a cinematographer, he has worked on numerous major independent films by directors such as Josh and Benny Safdie, Ronald Bronstein, Michael Almereyda, Alex Ross Perry, Robert Greene, Albert Mayles and Abel Ferrara. Williams moves in a variety of genres, shaping both fiction and documentary. His visions are characterized by striking uses of color and image texture. With "The Sweet East", in addition to image design, he also appears as a director of his own feature film for the first time.
